To get to Ghost Ranch, fly into Albuquerque or Santa Fe, rent a car and drive north on Highway 84 past EspaƱola and Abiquiu to Ghost Ranch. A sign marks the right-hand turn into the Ghost Ranch Education and Conference Center between mileposts 224 and 225. The museums and visitor center are approximately 1.5 kilometers off the paved highway on a dirt road suitable for all cars.

Ghost Ranch offers overnight accommodations onsite, ranging from adobe casitas to dorm rooms. The Abiquiu Inn, 15 minutes south on 84, just before the turnoff to Abiquiu, also offers artsy, reasonably priced rooms as well as good food. Camping is also available seasonally at Ghost Ranch, as well as year-round at Echo Amphitheater, just three kilometers up the road, and at the Abiquiu Reservoir, just south of the ranch.

Ghost Ranch is privately owned by the Presbyterian Church, but you don’t need to be a member or a believer, or even a guest at the ranch, to enjoy the free trails and by-donation museums. For more information, visit www.ghostranch.org.
