GEOLOGIC INFORMATION SPECIALIST

This position supports geologists by providing geographic information system (GIS) services and database management support. The employee provides interim GIS products to the geologists and then uses existing procedures and scripts to create GIS products from their work. Must have training and experience in geographic information systems, database management, and must understand geology and geologic mapping as demonstrated by experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in geology. A Master’s degree in geology is preferred in addition to the essential database and GIS skills. Applications will be accepted until position is filled.
