Job Number: 07945. Salary: Per Part-time Faculty Salary Schedule. The schedule can be found on our employment web site, employment.blinn.edu.
OBJECTIVE: To perform the day-to-day operations of the instructional programs in physical and historical geology and oceanography.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Teaches courses as scheduled. Maintains office hours as set by the college. Prepares course information sheets, which include stated objectives for each course. Keeps current on developments regarding instructional methodology. Provides a grade evaluation on each student's performance in a fashion and frequency required by the college. Performs other related tasks as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Must have a Master's Degree or higher in geology or in a closely related area plus 18 graduate hours in geology and/or oceanography.
Ability to establish and maintain effective, professional working relationships with other instructors, staff, administration and students.
