Sara E. Pratt

After graduating with a degree in Geology from the University of Pennsylvania, Sara received an National Association of Geoscience Teachers’ summer fellowship at the U.S. Geological Survey which took her to Woods Hole, Mass., for two years before she enrolled in the Earth and Environmental Science Journalism master’s program at Columbia University and Lamont Doherty Earth Observatory in New York. After graduation, she reported for Discover magazine before returning to New England where she became a contributing writer for Geotimes, as well as a science writer/editor for educational publishers, including WGBH/NOVA.
