Sever is editor of EARTH Magazine. She has been with EARTH and its predecessor, Geotimes, since 2003, and manages the magazine's production from the beautiful Pacific Northwest. She loves working with the science community and enjoys learning something new every day.
Sever has a background in American Literature, Writing and Geology, although she has learned more geology in her years working on the magazine than she ever did in school. Her favorite topics to write about are natural hazards, climate issues, politics and energy; she writes EARTH's Hazardous Living blog. When she’s not at work, Sever can be found outside with her family: running, hiking, skiing, and playing golf and softball. Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
